Bow Finger Review.

Recently saw the Bow Finger movie on DVD this is my second viewing. The first time Ive seen the film was nearly four years ago in a theater. I liked the film then as I do now with the same opinion. And that is the film could be easily overlook especially if you don’t like Mr.Martin from SNL. The film is highly original in it’s comedy and even though it may not have you bursting out in laughter you will get many Shuckels, (many more than five).

The good thing about this blog site is that i can write a brief movie review( being the lousy writer that i am) something i haven’t done at my web page MOG.

The film really gives Eddie Murphy the chance to be himself and so you can expect the classic ad-ons.

Game To Movie

Sometimes this is a good idea like in the case of the Batman series. Other times it’s a bad idea like The Hit Man Movie. We all know that a good game does not make a good movie. So how do you know that your favorite video game would turn out to be a good movie. Maybe you can read about what some one else thinks about it at a blog, or you can get a movie review from one of those fancy Hollywood web links. But the age old adage is seeing is believing. If a movie was reviewed as bad and you go see it than you’ll know for sure.

Diary Of A Mad Black Woman.

Seen this Tyler Perry play the other day. It was very funny however i do not think the humor crosses cultural boundaries and so African American like myself may get most of the humor. Tyler Perry Theater Plots like his movies deal with real life issues that are popular with African Americans, and his success is due to the fact that he can hit the hammer right on the nail with alot of the issues. I read a few comments about his writing being on the melodramatic side (Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married, Dairy Of A Mad Black Woman, Family Reunion) but what isn’t melodramatic if not over the top these days.

Beowolf DVD Review

The whole film is in CGI, and many of the actors that you may recognize are nicely done, in fact their hasn’t been a film to date that has used this technology the way this film has. If you read the book then you’ll know what to expect before popping the disc in your dvd or Blueray for the techno savvy. I myself have not read the book, so i could be neither dissappointed nor surprised if the movie missed important details that for the most part can only be read an imagined from the novel.

As gruesome as the first 20 min are,(Screaming troll, naked troll vs naked half human half greek something) one might expect a pause, and their is for about 10 min. Many times a lot of action does not make for a entertaining film, but in the case of it does.

And the winner is “La vie en Rose”

I say “La vie en rose” will receive just as many nominations as “No Country for old men”. (Febuary 24, 2008)  Oscars.

Sweeney Todd review

For people who take their musicals seriously, Sweeney Todd maybe a dissapointment. But for those who like the ensemble of Johnny Depp and Tim Burton this film delivers. This film is a musical and even Mr. Depp can’t sing the words are still convincing.
